It is a reminder too what a global experience CCK08 has been. Steve points out that “In fact, it is such a small world, that I now have a real problem trying to keep up with all the friends I have made all over the world. The problem is time!” Lisa observes that “I think after this class is over, the blogs I’ll come back to, the people I want to know better, may not be the ones whose work stretches my intellect or changes my approach to work, although those were the connections I initially hoped to make.” (Her subsequent post about maps prompted me to think about my woeful contribution to this part of the course. I have been a verbaliser rather than a visualiser! Ariel and Grant posted their maps too.) Polsterf noted “the path forward appears in the connected conversations - that you make a difference by what you do, the example you set and by your own contributions within a connected community - no matter how small or seemingly insignificant.
